# How men's clothing rental actually works.

A two-minute walkthrough of how Kings Closet lets you rent designer menswear — from picking a piece to dropping it in the return mailer. No mystery, no fine print.

## Step 1 — Find the piece.

Open /shop, filter by occasion or brand, and find the piece you want. Every listing shows the lender, the verified condition, the weekend rental rate, the daily rate, and (for some pieces) the option to buy outright.

Photos on Kings Closet are taken on the actual piece — not stock product photography. You see exactly what arrives.

## Step 2 — Reserve dates.

Pick your start date and return date. Most rentals ship within 24 hours; same-day is available in NYC, LA, and Miami.

Checkout is two minutes — name, address, payment method, accept the rental terms. Every rental includes the $5,000 Crown Guarantee and a free local-tailor credit.

## Step 3 — Wear it.

Your piece arrives in pristine condition with a prepaid return mailer included. Try it on, swap with our concierge if anything's off, then wear it.

If something happens during the wear (light stain, minor tear, lost button) — that's what the damage protection is for. You don't pay anything beyond the rental fee.

## Step 4 — Return it.

Drop the rental in the prepaid mailer, hand it to FedEx or USPS (or schedule a pickup), and you're done. We handle the dry cleaning and inspection.

If you decide you can't part with it, many pieces are 'rent-then-buy' — your rental fee is credited toward the purchase price within 14 days.

**How long is a typical rental?**
Three to five days for a weekend rental; up to two weeks for trips. Daily and per-week pricing both show on every listing.

**What if it doesn't fit?**
Free local-tailor credit on every rental, or our concierge will swap you into a different size or piece overnight.

**How are pieces authenticated?**
Every piece is authenticated by our team. Pieces above $500 retail get a second-pass authentication by Entrupy or Real Authentication.

**What if I damage the piece?**
Every rental includes the $5,000 Crown Guarantee. Light wear is expected; we cover stains, minor tears, and cleaning. Heavy or intentional damage is rare and handled case-by-case.
